Lizzy spent four years studying ceramics at Harrogate College, specializing in raku firing and the building of kilns.
Lizzy’s work is inspired by nature and this is captured in the raku style of firing – every piece is totally unique as in nature, nothing is repeated and this is what appeals to Lizzy.
Her work is thrown on a wheel using a clay with a high percentage of grog to help it withstand the immense thermal shock in the firing process.
